Mark Marxer
Founding Principal & CEO/CCO

Mark Marxer is Co-founder and Managing Partner at MMX Management, as well as the CEO of MMX Sports & Entertainment and Co-founder of MMX Wealth Partners. MMX is a global business development firm dedicated to working with talented innovators and entrepreneurs, advising them on their respective paths to proper business development, growth, and risk management. MMX was founded in 2010 by Mark Marxer and Brian Leftwich with offices in Minnesota, New York, and Florida. In his role as Managing Partner of MMX Management, he has been responsible for supervising the main office personnel since February 2010 and is responsible for all compliance and supervisory duties for MMX Global Partners since its approval by FINRA in 2018.

In addition to his work with MMX, he has accepted the role of Tiger 21 Chair of Boca Raton, Florida which launches in January 2024. Mark will also be featured on the cover of The Top 100 Magazines Innovators and Entrepreneurs in February 2024 and is in the process of authoring a book titled ‘Generational Survival’ expected out in 2026. He continues to take pride in connecting agents of positive change across the globe as a multifaceted business owner.

Previously, he was a Managing Director and Global Head of Business Development at Citi in New York. Mr. Marxer was recruited specifically to build out the alternatives business from scratch in 2006. Prior to joining Citi, Mr. Marxer was a Senior Managing Director and the Chief Marketing Officer with Black River Asset Management. Prior to Citi, he was a Founding Partner of RedSky Partners, where he was also a Managing Partner and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to RedSky, Mr. Marxer was a Senior Vice President and Director with AllianceBernstein Capital Management. He was a Vice President and Director of Marketing with American Express Asset Management. Mr. Marxer earned his Bachelor of Science in Business from Oregon State University. Mark brings over 35 years of business development starting over 486 businesses and having raised over $20 billion since 1989.

Brian Leftwich
Founding Principal & CIO/CFO

Brian is a distinguished Partner and Co-founder of MMX Management, operating out of New York. Before co-founding the firm in 2010, he held a pivotal role as a Director in the Alternatives Distribution Group at Citi, also based in New York. In this capacity, he provided advisory services and raised capital for a diverse range of firms spanning multiple industries, including private equity, hedge funds, infrastructure, real estate, venture capital, and private placements.

Prior to his tenure at Citi, Brian was a Vice President in the Private Equity Group at Merrill Lynch. He was instrumental in initiating and developing a specialized sub-group dedicated to Hedge Fund Placements. Earlier in his career, Brian served as an Associate in M&A (Media and Telecommunications) Investment Banking and Private Wealth Management at Morgan Stanley, working across their New York and London offices. He also gained experience as a Healthcare Investment Banking Analyst at Salomon Smith Barney.

Brian’s academic credentials include an A.B. in Politics from Princeton University, earned in 1995, and an M.B.A. in Finance and Accounting, obtained from Columbia Business School in 2000. With over 25 years of experience in business development and advisory roles within the alternative investment, M&A, and corporate finance industries, Brian brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role at MMX Management.

Chris Manlove, CFA
Partner

Chris Manlove, a Partner at MMX Management, brings a wealth of business development and investment experience spanning 23 years to his role. Based in Minnesota, he joined the MMX team in 2010. Prior to MMX, Chris held the position of Managing Director of Client Relations at Deephaven Capital Management, LLC. There, he was instrumental in marketing the firm’s global multi-strategy and single strategy hedge funds to a diverse range of clients, including pension funds, endowments, foundations, investment consultants, family offices, and hedge fund of funds.

Before his tenure at Deephaven, Chris served as the Director of Institutional Sales and Client Service for AXA Investment Managers, Inc. He was specifically recruited to enhance the group’s institutional marketing and client service capabilities. Earlier in his career, he was a Vice President of Institutional Sales for Advantus Capital Management, leading the firm’s institutional marketing and client service team.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Gustavus Adolphus College and an MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the Twin Cities Society of Security Analysts, further solidifying his expertise in the field.

Melinda Bradley
Partnership Operations Director

Melinda, based in sunny Florida, holds the position of Partnership Operations Director at MMX. She brings with her an impressive track record of over 15 years in customer service and administrative roles, demonstrating a deep commitment to excellence in these areas. Prior to joining MMX, Melinda honed her skills as a client service manager for a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) firm. In this role, she worked hand-in-hand with advisors and custodians, ensuring a smooth and seamless experience for clients.

Before her move to Florida, Melinda dedicated seven years of her career to a small loan company in the St. Louis area. As the district manager, she was responsible for overseeing operations and staff across all branches, demonstrating her strong leadership skills and operational acumen. Her diverse experience and dedication to service make her a valuable asset to the MMX team.

Morgan Marxer
Partnership Operations Assistant Director

Morgan recently joined the team based out of Nashville, TN with the role of Partnership Operations Assistant Director at MMX. She comes to us with prior Account Executive experience, working closely with Fortune 500 clients to aid in their workforce solutions through human capital consulting. Prior to moving to Nashville, she graduated with a BA in Kinesiology and a minor in Management Studies from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN. Morgan was a 4-year starter and Senior Captain on the St. Olaf Volleyball team and studied abroad in Ghana, West Africa in 2019 as well as the University of Otago in New Zealand Spring semester of 2020. Her experience was marked by studying Economics/Western Development and Public Health engaging with locals and professionals in the field. As a Certified Personal Trainer, she continues to prioritize her health and wellness. Morgan is looking forward to progressing alongside MMX and helping assist in their expansive reach in business development and high-level capital management.
