Mark Marxer
Founding Principal & CEO/CCO

Mark Marxer is Co-founder and Managing Partner at MMX Management, as well as the CEO of MMX Sports & Entertainment and Co-founder of MMX Wealth Partners. MMX is a global business development firm dedicated to working with talented innovators and entrepreneurs, advising them on their respective paths to proper business development, growth, and risk management. MMX was founded in 2010 by Mark Marxer and Brian Leftwich with offices in Minnesota, New York, and Florida. In his role as Managing Partner of MMX Management, he has been responsible for supervising the main office personnel since February 2010 and is responsible for all compliance and supervisory duties for MMX Global Partners since its approval by FINRA in 2018.

In addition to his work with MMX, he has accepted the role of Tiger 21 Chair of Boca Raton, Florida which launches in January 2024. Mark will also be featured on the cover of The Top 100 Magazines Innovators and Entrepreneurs in February 2024 and is in the process of authoring a book titled ‘Generational Survival’ expected out in 2026. He continues to take pride in connecting agents of positive change across the globe as a multifaceted business owner.

Previously, he was a Managing Director and Global Head of Business Development at Citi in New York. Mr. Marxer was recruited specifically to build out the alternatives business from scratch in 2006. Prior to joining Citi, Mr. Marxer was a Senior Managing Director and the Chief Marketing Officer with Black River Asset Management. Prior to Citi, he was a Founding Partner of RedSky Partners, where he was also a Managing Partner and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to RedSky, Mr. Marxer was a Senior Vice President and Director with AllianceBernstein Capital Management. He was a Vice President and Director of Marketing with American Express Asset Management. Mr. Marxer earned his Bachelor of Science in Business from Oregon State University. Mark brings over 35 years of business development starting over 486 businesses and having raised over $20 billion since 1989.

Chris Manlove, CFA
Partner

Chris Manlove, a Partner at MMX Management, brings a wealth of business development and investment experience spanning 23 years to his role. Based in Minnesota, he joined the MMX team in 2010. Prior to MMX, Chris held the position of Managing Director of Client Relations at Deephaven Capital Management, LLC. There, he was instrumental in marketing the firm’s global multi-strategy and single strategy hedge funds to a diverse range of clients, including pension funds, endowments, foundations, investment consultants, family offices, and hedge fund of funds.

Before his tenure at Deephaven, Chris served as the Director of Institutional Sales and Client Service for AXA Investment Managers, Inc. He was specifically recruited to enhance the group’s institutional marketing and client service capabilities. Earlier in his career, he was a Vice President of Institutional Sales for Advantus Capital Management, leading the firm’s institutional marketing and client service team.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Gustavus Adolphus College and an MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the Twin Cities Society of Security Analysts, further solidifying his expertise in the field.

Dave Kaufman
Partner

Dave is a distinguished Partner at MMX Management, operating out of Dallas. His journey with the firm began in 2024, marking a significant milestone in his career. Before this, he held a pivotal role as a Director of Capital Introductions at BNY Mellon/Pershing’s prime brokerage business. For over a decade, he was instrumental in forging new relationships with institutional investors and global family offices, while also providing strategic advice to the group’s hedge fund clients on their fundraising and business development initiatives.

Prior to his tenure at BNY Mellon/Pershing, Dave was an Executive Director with the sales team of J.P. Morgan’s Global Funds Group. This group is renowned for its relationship banking coverage practice, catering to alternative investment fund managers across a diverse range of public and private market strategies.

In the early stages of his finance career, Dave was associated with Bank of America. He served as a Vice President and Relationship Manager in Dallas, and also as an Associate in Project Finance, specializing in Energy & Power, based in Charlotte.

Before making his foray into the finance and investment sector post-business school, Dave had an enriching experience working abroad. He was involved in business development for a U.S. joint venture based in Kyiv, Ukraine.

Dave’s academic credentials are equally impressive. He holds an M.B.A. in Corporate Finance from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an M.A. in Russian and East European Studies from George Washington University, and a B.A. in International Studies from Virginia Tech. His diverse educational background has undoubtedly played a significant role in shaping his multifaceted career.
